• Go to messages
• Create a new message
• Type IMEI
• Send to 8484

To find mobile phone IMEI, dial *#06# on mobile dialer.

Online Mobile Device Registration System for International Travelers

• International passengers are required to register mobile device within 60 days from date of arrival in Pakistan.
• To avail baggage rule facility “1st free Device” in a calender year is only for International Traveler who travelled within 60 Days.
• If you have received a mobile device through courier from abroad, select user type “Courier Service (Mobile device received via Courier)”.
• If you receive SMS through 8484 that your mobile device IMEI is valid but not PTA approved/registered, select user type “International Traveler(To claim 1st free device)” or “Mobile Registration (To pay Duty TAX))”
• Please ensure to enter passport number on which you (passenger) has travelled, otherwise system will not recognize the entered passport data.
• Note: In order to obtain 15 digit IMEI, dial *#06# from dial pad of device.
• In case of dual or triple SIM devices, users need to register all IMEIs of that device.

How to Register Mobile on PTA

1. Log onto dirbs.pta.gov.pk/drs/
2. go to Edit User Profile section and fill required personal information i.e. Name, Phone Number, CNIC, Passport Number, Email & Postal Address
3. go to Individual/Personal COC section and and click on to Apply for COC
4. provide your Contact Number and Select Number of SIM slots (IMEI) of Your Device
5. select user type International Traveler (1st device FREE Registration / Avail baggage Rule)
6. then click on Submit button
7. Check your device status under My Applications tab

Mobile Registration Service Available at CMOs’ Franchise Centres

In order to facilitate consumers wanting to register their mobile devices’ IMEI, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) through Cellular Mobile Operators (CMOs) has made mobile registration service available at CMOs’ franchises nationwide. WhatsApp says that devices that run on Nokia S40 won’t be able to use WhatsApp after December 31, i.e., today. Support was expected to end in June this year, but WhatsApp extended it till December, bringing some relief to the few Nokia S40 users.

We presume the number of people affected by this end of support will be very few, as the Nokia S40 OS is extremely old – first unveiled in 1999, updated in 2005., and last used on Nokia 515 in 2013. The app will stop working on phones running Android 2.3.7 and older (Gingerbread) and iPhone 3GS/ iOS 6 from February 1, 2020.

Lenovo Z5s with a dewdrop notch design and triple rear cameras has been officially announced in China. Registrations for the phone have begun and it will go on sale in the country from December 24.

Lenovo also announced the Z5 Pro variant, which will have the latest Snapdragon 855 processor. Lenovo Z5s is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor. The Z5s will be available in blue, black, and orange colour options.

The company has been teasing the phone ahead of its launch for many days. The latest teaser of Nova 4 shows a red and purple gradient option. Let’s have a look at that.

The official launch of the device is 17 December, so we’ll have to wait till then to find out the authenticity of the above renders.

This news comes from a post on popular Chinese social network Weibo, which noted that the the Huawei P30 Pro will come equipped with the Sony IMX607 sensor.

This new sensor – which hasn’t been officially announced yet – sounds pretty incredible from a camera point of view, proving that you don’t actually have to boost the megapixel count to stupid levels to get fantastic detail.

The Sony IMX607 is set to be a stacked 1/1.8-inch image sensor with a square pixel array.

It offers “exceptional low-illumination performance”, according to GizChina which has more details about the sensor. It also has a high signal-to-noise ratio, quad pixel PDAF (so expect fast autofocus speeds), advanced noise reduction and three native ISOs (50/500/5000).

Huawei P30 Pro uses curved screen (BOE or LG), but OLED's Hole in Display is currently only available in Samsung display. So P30P is definitely a drop or Notch
