I object the rational given here and say D is correct. First and very important it is best practise to suction just to the tip of the ET to avoid touching the carina due to risk of stimulating vagal nerve (bradycardia). So the rational of damaging tracheal mucosa is irrelevant. Also you do not rotate/ swirl catheter as distal and dorsal opening on catheter tip will catch secretions all along.
