University of Sindh Thatta Campus

I am pleased that University of Sindh has launched one of its campuses at historical town of Thatta which had once remained the capital of Sindh and highest seat of learning and wisdom. Indeed I personally feel honored and happy that I have been given the responsibility as Focal Person to see through the establishment of Sindh University Thatta Campus.
The Thatta district and its surrounding areas comprise of diverse ecosystems ranging from mighty Indus river and its delta, mountain ranges, fresh water lakes, and about 220 km long Arabian Sea coast. While the district is rich in natural resources it is also vulnerable to natural hazards such as flooding, cyclones, saline intrusions and sea erosion. In order to meet the development and management needs it is necessary that the people of Thatta and adjoining districts are provided high class teaching and research opportunities in the fields of Management, Computer Science and Marine Sciences at their doorstep.
Sindh University Thatta Campus offers a number of market oriented disciplines i.e. Degree courses in English, Computer Science, Coastal Zone Management and Business Administration from Session 2013 and short courses in Computer Science and Coastal Zone Management from October, 2012.
