Top Paying Metropolitan Areas for Sonographers

It is important to remember that the areas with the lowest salaries for Sonographers often have significantly lower costs of living than other areas. Additionally, facilities in rural areas will often pay less than facilities in metropolitan areas do. Of course, sonographers who are just entering the workforce will have starting salaries less than the wages experienced sonographers earn.

The Metropolitan area with the Higest sonographer salary is San Jose-Sunnyvale-Santa Clara, CA, with an average annual salary of $113,080.The Metropolitan areas that are in the Higest paying tier for sonographers in the country include:
San Jose-Sunnyvale-Santa Clara, CA
San Francisco-San Mateo-Redwood City, CA Metropolitan Division
Santa Cruz-Watsonville, CA
Vallejo-Fairfield, CA
Oakland-Fremont-Hayward, CA Metropolitan Division
Santa Rosa-Petaluma, CA
