Top Highest Paying States for Heavy and Tractor-Trailer Truck Drivers

As of May 2014, the average Heavy and Tractor-Trailer Truck Drivers brought home just shy of $40,260 a year, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. But earnings vary greatly by location, as employers must offer higher wages in certain areas of the country to attract qualified candidates. On average, the highest wages paid in machinists were in  North Dakota, Alaska, District of Columbia, Massachusetts & Wyoming.

Min. Education: Postsecondary nondegree award
Job Outlook 2014-24: 5% (As fast as average)
