Southlake’s Images for Life campaign ‘Successful’

February 20, 2015 By Rana Waqar Leave a Comment

Southlake’s Images for Life campaign has reached its target.

The $16-million campaign was created to upgrade diagnostic imaging equipment across Newmarket’s Southlake Regional Health Centre.

Southlake can now begin renovations that will bring a second MRI machine to the region.

“We are thrilled to announce that we have reached our ambitious campaign goal,” Southlake Foundation president and CEO Neila Poscente said. “Once again, our community has shown incredible support for our hospital. Thanks to your generosity, our health care team can continue to provide the world-class care that our community expects from Southlake.”

Southlake relied entirely on community support to raise funds for the campaign, she said.

“Diagnostic imaging is critical in the diagnosis and treatment of nearly all of our patients,” Poscente said.

Images was launched in 2011. The first phase was completed with the opening of Southlake’s new Interventional Radiology Suite the following year.

Outfitted with the latest technology, the IRS has brought minimally invasive diagnostics and treatment to the area.
