Diagnostic medical Sonographers perform Sonography to create images. These images help physicians assess and diagnose medical conditions. Some Sonographers assist physicians and surgeons during surgical procedures. The mean annual wage for diagnostic medical Sonographers was $62,540.Employment of diagnostic medical sonographers is projected to grow 24 percent from 2018 to 2028, much faster than the average for all occupations. As imaging technology evolves, medical facilities will continue to use ultrasound to replace more invasive, costly procedures.
