New Mentor Firefighter Title: 'Firefighter / Paramedic / Duck Rescue Specialist'

It’s duck (rescue) season at the Mentor fire department.
Mentor, OH

Mentor Firefighter, Ben Boatwright has a new title according to a post on the Mentor Fire Department’s Facebook page – “firefighter/paramedic/duck rescue specialist.”

Boatwright rescued 8 mallard ducklings from a storm sewer near a Holiday Inn yesterday.

Firefighter/paramedic/duck rescue specialist Boatwright promply returned the mallard ducklings to their worried mother who was waiting in a nearby pond, the whole duckling family is now doing well.

Boatwright and Station #2 have received considerable praise in the comments section under the Facebook post:
