Top Lowest Paying USA States for Physical Therapists

As of May 2014, the average Physical Therapists brought home just shy of $43,350 a year, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. But earnings vary greatly by location, as employers must offer higher wages in certain areas of the country to attract qualified candidates. On average, the Lowest wages paid in Physical Therapists were in Guam, Puerto Rico, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont and Nebraska.


Salary: $82,390 per year & $39.61 per hour
Min. Education: Doctoral or professional degree
Job Outlook 2014-24: 34% (Much faster than average)
