New York Fire Department is currently responding to a report of a helicopter crash at a building in midtown Manhattan.

Two senior officials told NBC that the helicopter was trying to make a landing onto the roof of a building on Seventh Avenue. Instead, the helicopter made a hard landing and a fire resulted.

There appears to be one injured person and no fatalities, according to NBC.

Firefighters and police were at the scene investigating the crash.

Police have asked people to avoid the area between West 51th and 7th Avenue due to the ongoing police investigation.
